In case you are wondering: 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐬? - Littering is the term for carelessly throwing away or leaving litter in public spaces.

The phenomenon is unfortunately widespread and places an enormous burden on our environment. The reasons for littering are very different. 𝐖𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐠 𝐢𝐬𝐭, 𝐝𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐦ü𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐠𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐧.

Try to prevent waste in the first place by choosing reusable products, repairing and borrowing them instead of buying new ones.

Report particularly polluted places to your community.

Make other people aware of the problem.

Organise and support clean-up activities.

Go plogging.
